Video | Virtual Town Hall, Jan. 12

Following the SLAC stand-down activities, more than 1,400 people reconvened for a virtual town hall. The senior management team summarized progress against the stand-down actions, answered questions that weren’t addressed at Monday’s town hall (Jan. 9), and addressed additional concerns that came up during the week.

By Mai Nguyen

Senior leaders discussed how the stand-down actions fit into our longer-term strategy to strengthen our operational excellence and build the trust and accountability we need to succeed as individuals and as a lab.

At the start of the January 12 meeting, another live Town Hall poll was taken. (Note: The SLAC IT and the Energy Sciences organizations were inadvertently omitted from the list in Question 1. Employees from those organizations were asked to skip this question.) Included in the poll was a short answered question.

“If you could change one thing that would have the biggest positive impact on how we do our work, what would it be?”
